About Mission Bend United Methodist Church

Welcome to Mission Bend!  I’ve only been here a little while myself, but let me tell what I’ve found, and what I hope you will come and experience.

Mission Bend is a rich and diverse community of faith with people from all over the world.  We have folks from Africa and Asia, from the Islands and Latin America and everywhere in between.  The Radical Hospitality of this church family invites and brings people from all over to be part of a new kind of community, mirroring and celebrating the diversity around us.

This is a place where people are built up in the faith.  It is a praying community, a studying and growing community, a place where people take their spiritual growth very seriously.  It is a place where children and youth are welcome and are invited to stretch and grow, a place where you can come as you are and become more fully who God wants you to be.

And Mission Bend is actively about the work of Jesus Christ in our community, sending people into mission in places near and far.  In literally hundreds of ways, the people of Mission Bend are out there loving and serving and being a voice for justice.  There is an amazing heart for mission at Mission Bend.

So that’s what we do: we “bring” and we “build” and we “send.”  You’ll find much more about that as you look around this website, but we’d love it if you would come and see for yourself.
