SERVICE OF PRAYER AND HEALING

You are invited to a Service of Prayer and Healing on Thursday evening, September 9,  2010 at 7:00 P. M. in the Chapel. This is a temporary change in time and place to accommodate any participant who may experience a conflict with the labor day holiday.

This brief, solemn, quiet service is designed to ask Jesus Christ to bring healing to people in every area of our lives, anywhere you or someone you care about is hurting, whether it be strained relationships, financial problems, addictions, physical, emotional, spiritual, mental or other problem areas. Prayer can do anything that God can do.

There will be a brief speaker, then confidential, personal prayers for you and yours.  It will be informal so you can feel free to leave after you have been prayed for. Come and let the Mission Bend Prayer Ministry Team bring all who are in need into God’s healing presence on the stretchers of our prayers.

The Mission Bend UMC Prayer Ministry strives to provide prayer support to you when you need it.  You or someone you care about may not find the scheduled Service of Prayer and Healing a convenient day or time in which to participate.   Consider receiving this prayer support at another day and time more convenient for you or a loved one.  Accordingly, feel free to call Pat Howell or Yucca James of the Prayer Ministry to arrange Prayer Partners for you.

Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray.

Is anyone happy?  Let him sing songs of praise.

Is any one of you sick?  He should call the elders of the church

to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.

And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well;

the Lord will raise him up.

If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other

so that you may be healed.

The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.”     James 5:13-16

Jesus is still in the healing business. Come, let us ask Him together. Come expecting to be blessed.
